Many undocumented immigrants find that running a small
business is an effective source of income and it has become increasingly
common. This is because becoming a business owner is quite straightforward as
only a few pieces of information are needed. Tamara Jimenez, an immigrant from
Nicaragua, decided to open a bakery in North Philadelphia after working odd
jobs for years. She says opening her own business made sense for their economic
