A Useful Program for Refugees (From Deseret News)

This article discusses the programs and workshops for refugees run by the Office of Human Rights and Diversity in Salt Lake City, UT. Many refugees are unaware of the complex system of laws set up in the United States and often find themselves in a lot of trouble because they are unaware. Salt Lake City is trying to remedy this problem by hosting free workshops for refugees with translators on issues such as the judicial system, workplace safety, and sexual violence prevention. A Congolese refugee spoke on Human Rights Day about how these workshops have helped her integrate herself and her children into the Salt Lake City. Read more about this program here.
