Inc.com Discusses How Great Entrepeneurs Think
This article discusses a study conducted at the University of Virginia
which tries to pinpoint what exactly makes a successful entrepreneur
successful. The researcher interviewed close to fifty highly successful
entrepreneurs whose company values range from $2.5 million - $6 billion. The
findings of the study demonstrated that master entrepreneurs use “effectual
reasoning” which involves improvisation, creativity, and working well on the
fly. Corporate executives tend to use “causal reasoning” which involves setting
clear goals and working diligently to achieve them. The article also contains
several interview excerpts from the researcher’s interviews with the
entrepreneurs who discuss how they have accomplished all of their achievements.
